HFHP promotes new VP of Quality and Integrated Care

ROCKLEDGE, FL (June 6, 2011) — Health First Health Plans announces the promotion of a new Vice President of Quality and Integrated Care.

Lisa Slattery has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Quality and Integrated Care for Health First Health Plans (HFHP). In her new position, Lisa will be responsible for overseeing HFHP Quality Management and Improvement Programs, Provider Credentialing, Member Appeals and Grievances, Peer Review, Complex Case Management as well as other areas. In addition, she also will be actively involved in clinical and operational integration initiatives across Health First.

Lisa joined Health First in 1994 as a Physical Therapist at Holmes Regional Medical Center, and later transferred to Palm Bay Hospital where she managed the Rehab Department for four years. In 2007 Lisa accepted a newly created position at HFHP as the Rehab Services Coordinator, creating clinically based utilization processes and measures, as well as developing the Rehabilitation network.

Since then Lisa has served as Director of Quality and Accreditation, leading HFHP to an excellent accreditation status, a 4.5-Star national ranking and recognition as one of the top 20 Medicare Advantage Plans in the country. Strongly committed to excellent patient care, Lisa chairs the system-wide Transitional Post Acute Care Committee, whose focus is patient safety and satisfaction across the spectrum of care.
 
In addition to her Physical Therapy degree from University of Florida, Lisa holds Bachelor Degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry from North Carolina State University. She obtained her Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) designation in 2009.
