Important news about changes that may affect you

You want the peace of mind that comes with knowing your health plan benefits are being managed effectively, and we’re investing in ways to exceed your expectations.

We’re proud to announce the launch of our state-of-the-art administrative systems that will not only allow us to manage your claims more effectively, but will enhance the way we communicate with you about your costs. While you might not notice all the improvements at first, here are some things you need know to ensure a smooth transition into the future:

New member ID numbers and ID cards

All members received new ID cards with new ID numbers in late-April, and should start using them from now on for any covered services (doctor visits, prescriptions, etc.).

  • For recurring claims such as automatic prescription refills or monthly DME rentals, please call the pharmacy or supplier with your new ID number to update your records.
  • If you have a family plan, everyone in your family will have the same primary ID number with two numbers at the end to identify each individual. New ID cards list all covered family members on the same card, up to four people. Families with more than four members received multiple cards, and you can request additional cards if you need them.

New MyHFHP

MyHFHP, our website for securely accessing your personal information, has a new look and improved functionality. Still known as MyHFHP, this new site integrates with our new system and is updated with your latest information.

You can always find a link to MyHFHP on our home page at www.HealthFirstHealthPlans.org, or you can visit MyHFHP now to register for a new user account. You can get immediate and secure access in just a few simple steps!

  • If you were already a MyHFHP user on the old site: To strengthen the security of your information, you need to re-register for an account with your new Member ID number, as your current UserName and Password will no longer work. We appreciate your patience with this safety precaution.

More information

We're updating this web page as needed, and mailed these fact sheets along with new ID cards to all of our members in mid-April:

We're also sending information to others affected by these changes (network physicians, pharmacies and other providers, as well as insurance agents and employers) to ensure a smooth transition.

Thank you for the opportunity to share this news with you. We’re excited about these changes, and appreciate your patience if the level of service you have come to expect is temporarily affected during the transition. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns of any kind.
